Patients and families had identified the places and experiences they associated with spiritual well-being. BluPoetry helped translate that vision into the media that brings those environments to life inside the Spiritual Care Center.

BluPoetry created the immersive media for the Spiritual Care Center experience in collaboration with Roger Holzberg and Reimagine Well. The documentary film above shows the completed project and was not produced by BluPoetry.

The Vision
The goal was to create a space where patients and families could step away from the clinical environment and choose an experience that felt meaningful, restorative, and supportive. Their input identified seven environments: a Buddhist temple, Hindu mandir, synagogue, chapel, mosque, the Southern California seashore, and an alpine forest.
The Challenge
These could not feel like static images on screens. The experience needed warmth, presence, and a sense that each place was alive around the person using it.
The Creative Approach
Through close collaboration with Roger Holzberg and Reimagine Well, BluPoetry helped determine how the environments should look and feel, then created the media used within the experience. In the faith-based environments, ultra-high-definition prayer candles flicker continuously on separate monitors framed by architectural arches, adding light, movement, and presence.
The Work
BluPoetry created the environmental media shown throughout the immersive experience. The work combined image, movement, light, architecture, and atmosphere so the content could function as part of the room itself rather than as media simply displayed inside it.
Why It Matters
The project was designed around a larger purpose: helping care for the spirit of patients and families during vulnerable moments of treatment. BluPoetry's contribution was to translate that purpose into media that became an integral part of the finished environment.
